Nissan Titan Radiators

PushToTalk

You don't have to know how to flush a Titan radiator, but since it's not that hard to do, why not do it? Anyone can refill radiator coolant, but not many can say they've drained coolant from their Nissan Titan radiator.

Since it's a simple, but time-consuming project best saved for a Saturday in the spring, the question, "Why do I need to do a radiator flush?" should be answered. Radiator coolant has anti-rust particles that protect the inside of your Nissan radiator from corrosion. Over time, these particles stop working. That's when one of two things happens to your Nissan radiator: the coolant tubes become clogged, or your radiator rots from the inside. Either way, you'll wind up having to replace a radiator. A radiator flush can go a long way to prevent a premature purchase of radiator parts or a Nissan Titan radiator. Now that you're praying for an early spring, let's look at how to flush a Titian radiator.

First, have pets away from the car while you are doing this Nissan radiator project. Anti-freeze is a fatal poison that tastes sweet to animals.

At the bottom of your radiator, you may see a drain cap. If you do, pull it open. If you don't, loosen the bottom radiator hose and let the coolant drain from there. Normally, radiator leaks are not desirable, but this is different. Once everything has drained, plug it up/reattach the hose, and fill your coolant reservoir with water. Get your engine up to its full temperature, let the radiator cool, and drain. Repeat this process until the water runs clear. After it has cooled the final time, put your 50/50 coolant mix in the reservoir, and run the engine up to temperature. Now you can relax until spring two years from now.
