GMC Truck C/K Truck Radiators

PushToTalk

When a vehicle is manufactured for a long period of time, you know it has something that appeals to the public. The GMC C/K full-size pickup trucks have the distinction of being produced for 39 years. Of course, when you come right down to it, it's not popularity or number of years of production that makes a truck roadworthy. It's the inner workings that makes or breaks a vehicle, and that is certainly true with the GMC C/K Truck radiator.

To keep your truck radiator in good operating condition, several simple steps of radiator care are necessary. The most obvious (and commonly known) step of caring for radiators is to check the coolant fluid level every 3-4 weeks. This is where GMC radiator care begins, but where it by no means ends.

A radiator flush should be done every 2 years. This is important, because the little anti-rust particles in the coolant eventually build up in your GMC C/K truck radiator core, which, if left unflushed, will cause your engine to overheat when under sustained strain. (Unless of course, you already replaced your whole GMC radiator system with a truck radiator that uses organic coolant. In that case, a plugged radiator core should never happen to you.)

Also, if you notice a leak and suspect it is coming from your GMC radiator, you should immediately take it to your mechanic. If it's caught in the early stages, chances are high that it will be possible to stop the radiator leak. If it has progressed to the point of no return, you will probably need to purchase a new GMC radiator. At Outlaw Radiator, you will find the lowest prices on any U.S. radiator. Our truck radiator stock is extensive, and all of our radiators come with a lifetime warranty.
