AMC Marlin Radiators

In October, we asked our customers, like you, to write us with their AMC Marlin stories. The following is a piece written by Jeff from Washington DC:One of my first jobs out of film school put me face to face with a 1966 AMC Marlin. All of the cars on the set were in working order, in theory. After my very expensive education at a film school in Southern California (that shall remain nameless) I am assigned to babysit antique automobiles. I wasn't exactly thrilled to say the least. I was, however, given a crash course in how to take care of small problems that could easily explode into very, very large problems. My '66 AMC Marlin looked as if it was in mint condition; when, in fact it was in need of a new AMC Marlin Radiator. My first course after a very insightful class on editing by a very famous so-and-so was "how to replace a car radiator", (if only my parents could see where their money went.) My in-depth thesis on Fellini artistry has now been detoured into the Marlin radiator and plastic radiator repair genre. I come to find out that the AMC Radiator is not as obscure as my hyper-intellectualized brain once thought. Outlaw Radiator was what I needed. Thankfully, my internet skills are as fantastic as my opinion of myself. They educated me on the basics of radiator tanks and how they could help me help the AMC Marlin, my charge as it were. I realized that certain carparts weren't as a nightmare to find, if you knew where to find them. Film school was one education, however, Outlaw Radiator was definitely another; how to replace a car radiator, especially a Marlin radiator became my new forte. I think my parents are even prouder of me than before.
